On December 28, 2011 we had a great meeting with lots in attendance. Our Tea Party is now on the radar of the media as a reporter from the Laconia Daily Sun, Roger Amsden, was there to write about us and photograph the meeting! That tells you we're making progress.
After our main topic of Town Meetings and Town Warrants was discussed, we did our straw poll.
It's fascinating to see how the vote is changing month to month.
Votes were counted from those in attendance and those who voted absentee via email.
Here's the results:
Newt Gingrich 17
Mitt Romney 12
Ron Paul 3
Rick Santorium 0
Michele Bachmann 0
Jon Huntsman 0
Rick Perry 0
Undecided 2
Four people in attendance changed their vote from last month.
It will be interesting to see how the vote continues to change as we approach the 2012 election next November!

The Tea Party movement started on December 16, 2007, on the anniversary of the original colonial Tea Party, as a money bomb to raise money for Ron Paul's campaign. It was a movement started in protest of big government politicians, of both parties, while GWB was still in office. Shortly after Obama's election, big government Republicans started jumping on the bandwagon. At an income tax protest on April 15th, 2008, RINO's hijacked the event, protesting against Obama. Since then, RINO's have been hopping on the Tea Party bandwagon, while those of us who were there at the beginning are jumping off. When big government Republicans like Gingrich, Santorum, and Bachmann are the big names associated with the Tea Party, it shows why the Tea Party is losing its appeal.
