Our Tea Party had the privilege to host a standing-room only town hall event on January 5, 2012 with former Speaker of the House, and now Presidential candidate, Newt Gingrich.
This video captures the start of the town hall all the way through the meet and greet afterwards.
Perhaps the best part is the question asked by a 22-year-old patriot about an hour into the video. I highly recommend you visit the bathroom before you get to that part.

An electrifying evening indeed! We came up to our adopted home town of Meredith from the People's Republic of Connecticut (which has been destroyed by liberals and moderates) to hear Newt's town hall meeting, and to be in the belly of the beast during the primary season.
Newt's historical orientation, his agile intellect, and proven ability to radically shift federal policy toward pro-growth conservatism, firmly rooted in the Declaration and Constitution, sets him head and shoulders above the other conservative candidates in the field (and I would limit that description to Newt, Santorum and Perry). He's on the money when he promotes paychecks, not food stamps.
As a nation, we must get back to our historic roots in God-given life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness articulated in the Declaration. This means cherishing life, family, individual freedom, hard work, and loving charity through generosity to church, family, neighbor and charities, rather than an expectation of wealth redistribution at the hands of the government NOW. If it's immoral for me to steal your stuff, it's equally immoral to expect the government to do it in my stead.
I salivate over the possibility of seeing meaty, substantive Lincoln-Douglas style debates between Newt and Obama on the issues of our day. Newt can articulate and TEACH the country historic conservatism, even when under fire. No blubbering, no indecisiveness. This stuff flows through the man's veins. We are going to need that in the general election, particularly since the government schools and the media remain committed to indoctrinating Americans with their own European-style socialist ideology. They won't even acknowledge the brilliance of the rule of law that defines our representative republic. Newt will. They will praise every socialist dictator they can find. Newt won't.
Any of the 3 conservative candidates would make a good president, but Newt is emerging as my choice.
And, yes, the arrogant, self-absorbed youngster in the audience was hilarious. I'm guessing he'll be holding a sign at the Ron Paul event today, although I'm not going to submit myself to that nasty little man's BS, so will stay home. Can anybody imagine a kid directing such disrespectful drivel against one's elders just a couple of generations back? He'd be taken to the woodshed by his mortified parents, and rightfully so. Another product of our fine government schools. An empty head, but plenty of self-esteem.
